Music for Autism - 28th June 2022
This term we had a visit from some musicians who played small 25-minute concerts for our pupils! Music for autism is a charity set up by John Lubbock, the founder and artistic director of the internationally renowned Orchestra of St Johns (OSJ). The charity funds visits to Special Needs Schools by members of the orchestra to play live music to the pupils. They come along to brighten the pupil's lives and day, by just letting them listen to and watch live music with real professional musicians and letting them respond however they like. The pupils of Fitzwaryn absolutely loved this! They were able to wave ribbons, shake shakers, dance and some even had a go at conducting! What a special day we had!
