Last week pupils took park in the mini marathon organised by London marathon. The Student Centre mapped out and measured the course, made a start/finish line and made each class a race pack including bib numbers. The event showed great community spirit and encouragement as the students cheered and helped each other on. Classes came out into their gardens to spectate and clap. Students showed great determination and perseverance by continuing to run even in heavy rain. Parents, careers and grandparents kindly sponsored the runners and the Student Centre made a donation to the London marathon charity which this year is Mencap. Over £100 was fundraised. Thank you to all that supported and well done to all the runners.
