Fitzwaryn is a small (but growing!) friendly and extremely successful school for 97 young people aged 3-19 with a range of learning difficulties, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, PMLD and autism. We received our third ‘Outstanding’ OFSTED in October 2014 We can offer you the opportunity to teach within a forward thinking and very supportive team with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development.
The Governors of this thriving school wish to appoint two suitably qualified and enthusiastic full time teachers (part time will be considered) with a passion for excellence to join the Fitzwaryn team. As of February 1st 2013 Fitzwaryn School became part of The Propeller Academy Trust with Kingfisher Special School and Abingdon and Witney College. Whilst the vacant post is to teach within Fitzwaryn School, there may be a requirement to teach across the trust after consultation.
Experience in a special school is desirable although not essential. The ability to work within a team is vital. A full induction programme will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious forward looking school. The post would suit someone who has a great deal of drive and ambition to further enhance the learning opportunities for our students.
