Brushing Betsy

October 2014

Tuesday 4th November 2014

Betsy is now involved in one of our communication groups. Each week she works with a group of pupils focussing on learning how to interact safely with dogs. We've been learning about dog body language including how to tell if a dog is scared or happy and what to do if we meet a dog when we are out and about. Using our big toy dog, we've practised greeting a dog safely and ignoring a dog and then have put these into action with Betsy. The pupils have also been helping Miss Wenham with some of Betsy's training including playing the 'touch' game and pracitisng some of her tricks. The favourite trick is to get Betsy to press her 'That was Easy' button.
