Betsy's final assessment

Monday 7th March 2016

We are very excited to announce that Betsy has passed her final school dog assessment and will soon be a fully certified school dog.

Tracey and Gail visited school for an afternoon to watch Miss Wenham and Betsy at work. The final assessment focussed on seeing Betsy working in a dog training session with a small group of pupils and reading with an individual. The children who have been working with Betsy on a Tuesday in communication showed Gail and Tracey all they have learnt and demonstrated some of the tricks they have learnt. They did a fantastic job at explaining how they have taught Betsy to follow their instructions.

After a nervous wait, Miss Wenham received an email to say that Betsy had passed her assessment with flying colours and once the paperwork has all been sorted, she will become a certified Dogs Helping Kids School dog.
