Our main topic in Ash Class for the term is ‘Peter Pan’. During the term we will be learning about the story of the Peter Pan and finding out about his adventures. In English we will be dramatising and describing different scenes from the story. Within Maths lessons this term, we will be using our number skills to work with money as well as measuring lengths and heights. We will also have opportunities to role play shopping situations with our friends with some of us paying and others calculating the change. Our Science topic this term is Life Cycles. We will be learning how humans change as they get older and will observe how animals, mini-beasts and plants change during their life cycles. Ash Class will also have the wonderful opportunity to go on a barge along the river, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Abingdon. Hopefully we will see many different animals, mini-beasts and plant life along the way. During Geography lessons the focus will be the Commonwealth. Within these lesson the pupils will use the recent Commonwealth Games as inspiration and learn about some of the countries and famous athletes from those countries.
